The California Energy Commission adopted new lighting efficiency standards called Title 24 effective July 1, 2014. Light Laboratory Inc. provided a seminar December 4th 2013, for lighting manufacturers, giving an overview of Title 24 code changes to help them understand how to design and manufacture lighting fixtures to comply with these new requirements.

Questions:
- Why is there a 90 CRI requirement on LED luminaires?
- The form for Title 24 LED's is pretty simple to fill right now, but will there be changes to that in 2014?
- Can you clarify current liter necessity for track lighting?
- Current limiting track needs a certified commission. Can you clarify what that entails, is it set in UL, that kind of certification?
- Is Outdoor lighting exempt from 90 CRI?
- What is the date on that meeting in December?
- When it says linear lamps are not recognized as burning an LED or fluorescent, does that mean LED lamps no longer meet the LED requirement?
- What are the standards for pigtails in 2013 and on Hardwire?
- Because we don't have pigtails, do we have to have an external power supply?
- Any kind of track lighting, according to Rezzy, is always going to be low efficacy, is that correct?
- LED Certified Technician to JA8, can you clarify what that means? Is it self-certified to (handled on) a website?
- For the basic attributes for cert, are the attributes just CCT and CRI or is there still LPW?
